Afghanistan made history win against New Zealand by 84 runs


Afghanistan made history victory against New Zealand by 84 runs on the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between New Zealand and Afghanistan at Providence Stadium.

The target of 160 runs given by Afghanistan to New Zealand cannot achieve by New Zealand as they were all out on only 75 runs. No any batsman from New Zealand can make contribution for the team that make team to win. Opener Finn Allen and Devon Conway goes after scoring 0 and 8 runs respectively. Captain Kane Williamson become out on 9 runs in 13 balls. Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry can only make double scored runs for New Zealand as they scored 18 runs in 18 balls and 12 runs in 17 balls respectively. While, other batsman cannot perform contribution for the team which can complete this target.

Afghanistan bowlers did great bowling performance against New Zealand today. They can restrict New Zealand on only 75 runs as they made New Zealand all out on 15.2 overs. Fazalhaq Farooqi alone take 4 wickets by conceding only 17 runs in 3.2 overs. Skipper Rashid Khan also take alone four wickets by conceding 17 runs in 4 overs. Mohammad Nabi take two wickets by giving 16 runs in 4 overs. While, other bowlers cannot take wickets but they control runs and give the pressure to the New Zealand batters.

In the first innings, Afghanistan scored respectable total of 159 runs with the contribution of both openers. Both openers played really well innings as Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran scored 80 runs in 56 balls and 44 runs 41 balls respectively. Gurbaz hit five boundaries and five sixes. While, Azmatullah Omarzai scored 22 runs in 13 balls with help of 1 boundaries and 2 sixes.

New Zealand bowlers cannot perform well against Afghanistan today but at the last of the over they take some wickets still this is not enough to handle the runs. Trent Boult and Matt Henry both take two wickets for each by conceding 22 and 37 runs respectively. Lockie Ferguson take only one wicket in 4 overs by conceding 28 runs. While, other bowlers cannot perform well that can bring them wickets.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz became Player of the Match(POM) due to his outstanding batting performance as he scored brilliant 80 runs in just 56 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and 5 sixes. Th

India entered into the final after beating England by 68 runs in the second semi-final in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and England at Providence Stadium England can't chase the target of 172 runs given by India where they were become all out at just 103 runs in 16.4 overs. Virat Kohli retire from t20 international

  Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time.
