Namibia won the Super Over by 11 runs




Namibia defeat Oman in the Super Over by 11 runs in the ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2024 in the third match played between Namibia and Oman at the Kensington Oval Barbados Stadium on 03 June.

In Super Over, the target given by Namibia of 22 runs couldn't achieved by Oman. Oman can only manage 10 runs in the Super Over which led to loss by 11 runs. For Namibia, Batsman David Weise and Gerhard Erasmus scored 13 runs in 4 balls and 8 runs in 2 balls respectively. For Oman, Batsman Aqib Ilyas scored 7 runs in 2 balls who remains not-out while other two batsman Naseem Khushi and Zeeshan Maqsood scored only 2 and 1 runs respectively. 
For Namibia bowling side, David Weise only give 10 runs in the super over and he also take 1 wickets which led Namibia to a victory.

   Before that, Namibia need two runs in the last balls and David Weise take one run and game goes into Super Over. 
For Namibia, Opener Michael van Lingen goes for duck. And, Skipper Gerhard Erasmus and Niko Davin scored 13 and 24 runs respectively. Davin scored 2 boundaries and 1 six. While, Jan Frylinck scored brilliant 45 runs in 48 deliveries which helped team to turn into Super Over. He scored 6 boundaries. Meanwhile, other batters couldn't contribute runs for team.

For Oman, bowlers Bilal Khan, Aqib Iylas and Ayan Khan all took each one wicket. Mehran Khan alone took 3 wickets by giving only 7 runs in his 3 overs with one maiden at the economy of 2.33.

In the first innings, Oman batsman; Kayshap Prajapati goes for a duck and another opener Naseem Khushi also goes after scoring just 6 runs and then Captain Aqib Ilyas also goes for a duck that gives a bit of pressure for Oman team. And then, Zeeshan Maqsood and Khalid Kail made a partnership for the fourth wicket. Maqsood scored 22 runs in 20 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and Kail scored 34 runs in 39 balls with the help of 1 boundaries and 1 six. Ayan Khan scored 15 runs in 21 deliveries. While, other batters couldn't add contribute runs for teams that give a respectable total.

For Namibia bowling side, Ruben Trumpelmann, David Weise and  Captain Gerhard Erasmus took four, three and two wickets respectively. They all did great bowling at the least economy line. Also, Bernard Scholtz took one wicket one wicket in his four over spell.

David Weise became Player of the Match(POM) due to his overall performance with batting and bowling side. He also did great bowling and batting in the Super Over. He scored 9 runs in 8 balls but he scored brilliant 13 runs in 4 balls in the Super Over. He took 3 wickets by giving only 28 runs and he also took 1 crucial wicket in the super over. Weise perform better with bowling and batting both.

India reached into the final of t20 world cup 2024

India entered into the final after beating England by 68 runs in the second semi-final in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and England at Providence Stadium England can't chase the target of 172 runs given by India where they were become all out at just 103 runs in 16.4 overs. England batsman fails to achieve the target and can't reached into the final in this world cup. England is the defending champion of t20 world cup 2022. Virat Kohli retire from t20 international

  Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time. Kohli, who did not make it to the semi-finals, scored 76 runs off 59 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes in the final. India won the T20 title after 17 years and the ICC title after 13 years. In 2007, he won the T20 World Cup and the last time in 2011, he won the One-Day World Cup. This is the first T20 World Cup title for Virat, who was a member of the team that won the ODI World Cup. Virat, who played in the T20 World Cup for the sixth time, said after becoming a player, 'It is the right time to retire. Now the new generation has to take it forward. This is my last T20 World Cup.
