New Zealand is out of the tournament by losing against West Indies


New Zealand becomes out of the tournament after losing against West Indies by 13 runs in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between New Zealand and West Indies at Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

New Zealand cannot chase the target of 150 runs in 20 overs after losing their 9 wickets and become almost out of this tournament. New Zealand players cannot perform against West Indies bowlers. Due to the poor batting performance in this tournament, they cannot make the good results. Like before, in this game also Opener didn't perform as expected. Opener Devon Conway and Finn Allen goes after scoring 5 runs in 8 balls and 26 runs in 23 balls respectively. Middle orders also didn't use their batting skills wisely. Captain Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra goes after scoring 1 runs and 12 runs respectively. Glenn Philips scored the highest runs of 40 runs in 33 deliveries including 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. West Indies bowlers execute their plans so well against New Zealand batsman. Alzarri Joseph takes highest wicket as he take four wickets by conceding 19 runs in 4 overs. Gudakesh Motie take 3 wickets by conceding 25 runs in 4 overs. While, Akeal Hosein and Andre Russell takes equal one wicket for each.

In the first innings, West Indies make a fighting total against New Zealand which results them victory. They make 149 runs by losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. After losing early wickets of Brandon King and Johnson Charles, middle order batsman handle then situation very well. Nicholas Pooran scored 17 runs in 12 balls including 3 boundaries. Sherfane Rutherford scored the highest runs as he scored not out 68 runs in just 39 deliveries including 2 boundaries and 6 sixes. Akeal Hosein, Andre Russell and Romario Shepherd scored 15 runs, 14 runs and 13 runs respectively. While, other batsman cannot scored runs in double digits.

New Zealand bowlers did their best from bowling side but due to poor batting they lose this game. Trent Boult takes the highest wicket for New Zealand as he take 3 wickets by giving only 16 runs in 4 overs. Tim Southee and Lockie Forguson takes two wickets each by conceding 21 runs and 27 runs respectively in their 4 overs. While, James Neesham and Mitchell Santner takes equal one wickets for each.

Sherfane Rutherford became Player of the Match(POM) due to his destructive batting performance in the middle and last overs as he scored 68 not out in just 39 deliveries including 2 boundaries and 6 sixes.

India entered into the final after beating England by 68 runs in the second semi-final in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and England at Providence Stadium England can't chase the target of 172 runs given by India where they were become all out at just 103 runs in 16.4 overs. Virat Kohli retire from t20 international

  Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time.
