New Zealand won, Lockie Forguson sets the record of world cup history


New Zealand won their last match easily against Papua New Guinea by 7 wickets in just 12.2  overs in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between New Zealand and PNG at Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

New Zealand completed the target of just 79 runs by losing 3 wickets in 12.2 overs in their last game of t20 world cup 20204. After early dismissal of Opener Finn Allen goes for a duck. Another opener Devon Conway scored highest 35 runs for New Zealand as he scored 35 runs in 32 balls including 2 boundaries and 3 sixes. Captain Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell finish the game and secure a victory in 12.2 overs. While, Williamson scored 18 runs in 17 balls including two boundaries and Conway scored 19 runs in 12 balls including three boundaries. New Zealand are already out of this tournament so this is their last game in this world cup.

PNG bowlers cannot restrict the lowest total. Kabua Morea take highest two wickets for PNG by conceding 4 runs in 2.2 overs. While, Semo Kamea take only one wickets by conceding 23 runs in 3 overs.

In the first innings, PNG batsman couldn't make runs with partnership against New Zealand bowlers which cost them to lose wickets early and restrict at just 78 runs. Opener Tony Ura and Captain Assad Vala scored 1 runs in 2 balls and 6 runs in 16 balls respectively. After dismissal of both openers, PNG become in trouble. Charles Amini, Sese Bau, and Norman Vanua scored 17 runs in 25 balls, 12 runs in 27 balls, and 14 runs in 13 balls respectively. While, other batsman couldn't add runs in double digits.

New Zealand perform great against PNG batsman as they can make them restrict at just 78 runs. Lockie Forguson sets the record of most maiden in t20 world cup history as he made 4 maiden overs. He also picks 3 wickets by giving 0 runs in his 4 over spell. This is the best economical spell in the history of cricket. While, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, and Ish Sodhi take two wickets for each. Mitchell Santner also pick one wicket.

Lockie Forguson became Player of the Match(POM) due to his outstanding bowling performance. He made the record in world cup history as he made 4 overs maiden without conceding a single runs in his 4 over spell. This record is hard to broken in the world cup history.

India entered into the final after beating England by 68 runs in the second semi-final in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and England at Providence Stadium England can't chase the target of 172 runs given by India where they were become all out at just 103 runs in 16.4 overs. England batsman fails to achieve the target and can't reached into the final in this world cup. England is the defending champion of t20 world cup 2022. Virat Kohli retire from t20 international

  Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time. Kohli, who did not make it to the semi-finals, scored 76 runs off 59 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes in the final. India won the T20 title after 17 years and the ICC title after 13 years.
