Scotland win agianst Oman by 7 wickets


Scotland make hopes to enter in to the super 8 after defeating Oman by 7 wickets in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between Scotland and Oman at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Scotland complete the target of 151 runs given by Oman in 13.1 overs with the help of destructive batting of Brandon McMullen. Scotland easily chased this small target of 151 runs. For this, Opener George Munsey and Michael Jones scored 41 runs in 20 balls including 2 fours and 4 sixes and 16 runs in 13 balls including 1 boundaries and 2 sixes respectively. After that, Brandon McMullen played a outstanding batting of 61 runs in just 31 balls including 9 boundaries and 2 sixes. While, Captain Richie Berrington and Mathew Cross scored 13 runs and 15 runs respectively.

Oman bowlers failed to stop this target against Scotland batsman. For Oman, Bilal Khan, Captain Aqib Ilyas and Mehran Khan all take equal one wickets each.

In the first innings, Oman make a respectable total but unfortunately they can't make win this game. Opener Pratik Athavale scored the highest runs for Oman as he scored 54 runs in 40 deliveries including 5 fours and 2 sixes. While, another opener Naseem Khushi goes after scoring just 10 runs in 9 balls. Ayan Khan scored not out 41 runs in 39 balls including 4 boundaries. Captain Aqib Ilyas and Mehran Khan scored 16 runs and 13 runs respectively. While, other batsman couldn't make double digit runs.

For the least total of Oman, Scotland bowlers did their amazing performance with bowl. Safyaan Sharif take highest wicket as he take two wickets by conceding 40 runs in 4 overs. While, Mark Watt, Brad Wheal, Chris Sole, and Chris Greaves all take equal one wickets for each.

Brandon McMullen became Player of the Match(POM) due to his destructive batting performance of 61 runs in 31 balls including 9 boundaries and 2 sixes.
