Uganda beat PNG by 3 wickets


Uganda beat PNG by wickets with 10 balls remaining in the nineteenth over on the on-going icct20 world cup 2024 which is played between Papua New Guinea at Providence Stadium.

Uganda complete the lowest target of 78 runs by losing 7 wickets after facing struggles on batting. Uganda can beat due to the lowest total otherwise it can be hard for them as well. Uganda batters complete target at the end. Openers Roger Mukasa and Simon Ssesazi goes after scoring 0 and 1 runs respectively. Riazat Ali Shah scored the highest run for Uganda. He scored 33 runs in 56 balls with the help of 1 boundaries. Other batters couldn't perform well. Thereafter, Juma Miyagi and Kenneth Waiswa had a partnership. Miyagi and Waiswa  scored 13 runs and 7 runs respectively which help team to achieve the target in 18.2 overs.

PNG bowlers did their best but cannot make team win. Bowlers Alei Nao and Norman Vanua take equal two wickets for each after conceding 16 runs and 19 runs respectively. While, Chad Soper and Captain Assad Vala both take one wicket for each after conceding 13 runs and 10 runs respectively.

In the first innings, PNG batsman can only manage to score 77 runs after losing all wickets in 19.1 overs. For PNG, Captain Assad Vala goes for a duck due to lbw wicket. And, another opener Tony Ura become out after scoring just one run in 6 balls. Only three batsman can manage to score double digit runs for PNG. Lega Siaka, Hiri Hiri, and Kiplin Doriga scored 12 runs, 15 runs and 12 runs respectively. Other batsman couldn't contribute more for team.

Uganda bowlers did great bowling performance. Every bowlers take wickets from Uganda side. Bowlers Alpesh Rmjani, Cosmas Kyewuta, Juma Miyagi and Frank Nsubuga all take two wickets for each. While, Captain Brian Masaba take only one wicket by giving 17 runs in 4 overs. 

Riazat Ali Shah became Player of the Match(POM) due to his great bowling performance. He scored 33 runs in 56 balls which helped team to win even after struggle of falling wickets.

India reached into the final of t20 world cup 2024

India entered into the final after beating England by 68 runs in the second semi-final in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and England at Providence Stadium England can't chase the target of 172 runs given by India where they were become all out at just 103 runs in 16.4 overs. England batsman fails to achieve the target and can't reached into the final in this world cup. England is the defending champion of t20 world cup 2022. England batsman couldn't contribute runs which results them to lose this game. For England, Opener Phil Salt departs just for 5 runs after playing 8 balls while another opener Captain Jos Buttler scored 23 runs in 15 balls including 4 boundaries. Virat Kohli retire from t20 international

  Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time. Kohli, who did not make it to the semi-finals, scored 76 runs off 59 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes in the final. India won the T20 title after 17 years and the ICC title after 13 years. In 2007, he won the T20 World Cup and the last time in 2011, he won the One-Day World Cup. This is the first T20 World Cup title for Virat, who was a member of the team that won the ODI World Cup. Virat, who played in the T20 World Cup for the sixth time, said after becoming a player, 'It is the right time to retire. Now the new generation has to take it forward. This is my last T20 World Cup.
