West Indies beat PNG by 5 wickets.


West Indies start their game by a win over PNG which is played in Providence Stadium. West Indies chased the target of 137 given by PNG in the 19th over with the loss of 5 wickets.

The target given of 137 runs by PNG chased by West Indies in 19th over. For West Indies, Opener Johnson Charles gone for a duck and then another opener Brandon King scored 34 runs in 29 deliveries. He scored 7 boundaries in his innings. While Nicholas Pooran and Captain Rowman Powell scored 27 runs in 27 balls and  15 runs in 14 balls respectively. Roston Chase played brilliant knock as he scored 42 runs in just 27 deliveries. He smashed 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. And, Russell came in the crease create a partnership with Chase which led team to a easy victory. Andre Russell scored 15 runs in 9 balls with the help of 1 six. 

From PNG bowling side, Alei Nao, Chad Soper, and John Kariko took equal one wickets. While, Captain Assad Vala took two wickets in his overs by giving only 28 runs.

Before that, PNG can only managed to score 136 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. For PNG, Captain Assad Vala scored 21 runs in 22 deliveries as he scored 2 boundaries and 1 sixes. Kiplin Doriga scored 27 runs in 18 deliveries with the help of 3 boundaries. While, Sese Bau scored highest run for PNG as he scored 50 runs in 43 deliveries. He scored 6 boundaries and 1 sixes. Meanwhile, other batters couldn't contribute more for team.

From West Indies, bowlers Andre Russell and Alzarri Joseph took each two wickets in their spell. While, Akeal Hosein, Romario Shepherd, and Gudakesh Motie each took one wickets.

Roston Chase became Player of the Match(POM) due to his overall peformance as he scored 42 runs in just 27 deliveries from bat and giving only just 28 runs at the economy opf 6.50 from bowling side.

India entered into the final after beating England by 68 runs in the second semi-final in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and England at Providence Stadium England can't chase the target of 172 runs given by India where they were become all out at just 103 runs in 16.4 overs. England batsman fails to achieve the target and can't reached into the final in this world cup. England is the defending champion of t20 world cup 2022. Virat Kohli retire from t20 international

  Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time. Kohli, who did not make it to the semi-finals, scored 76 runs off 59 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes in the final. India won the T20 title after 17 years and the ICC title after 13 years. In 2007, he won the T20 World Cup and the last time in 2011, he won the One-Day World Cup. This is the first T20 World Cup title for Virat, who was a member of the team that won the ODI World Cup.
